Seeing the advantage of its high performance, the storage industry is quickly adopting Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe™) standard. NVMe continues to push the storage envelope with version 1.3 and beyond in all types of computing environments from mobile to data center.
One of the key features of NVMe is its ability to handle virtualization. This webinar is a joint presentation by the NVMe™ organization and Synopsys, covering virtualization as it applies to NVMe. We will discuss the current virtualization technique of SR-IOV running over a PCIe transport as well as the future of virtualization in the NVMe standard.

Paul Graykowski has been working as a Verification Specialist in the ASIC industry for more than 20 years. He has worked on several interesting projects ranging from microcontrollers, networking protocols, CPU chipsets, to SoC integration. At Synopsys, Paul works directly with customers and supports them in methodology adoption and coverage methodology, and helps them deploy Synopsys’ Verification IP utilizing best practices to rapidly build effective verification environments.

J Michel Metz is currently an R&D Engineer for the Office of the CTO for the Compute and Server Group for Cisco Systems, but has a broad and eclectic background of both academic, corporate, and industry experience. He is an award-winning public speaker, author, and contributor to industry trade publications. He has been active in industry standards, with membership on the Board of Directors for the Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA), Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA), and the Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe) Promoter’s Board. He received his PhD from the University of Georgia.
